Beril Sarısakal

Beril Sarısakal received her undergraduate degree from Istanbul Technical University’s Department of Architecture, during which she studied at Universität der Künste Berlin for a year within the Erasmus Programme. In 2016, she graduated as the valedictorian from her faculty at I.T.U. She began her Master’s degree on late Ottoman and early Republican era architectural practices in the Architectural History Programme at I.T.U. in the same year and completed her studies with her thesis “An Antiquarian in Edirne: Tosyavizade Doctor Rifat Osman” in 2019. Between 2016 and 2017, she worked at SALT Research as a research assistant on various artists’ and architects’ archives on documenting the design history of 20th century Turkey. She has been working as a research assistant in the Department of Architecture at MEF University Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, since September 2017.
